Transcript for video Welcome to Wealth at Aviva
Nour: Hi, I'm Nour, and today I'm going to show you around our York office and tell you a little bit more about our wealth and advice business and why you should consider starting a career with us. But first, let's go grab a coffee with Monique.
Nour: Ohh, hi, Monique.
Monique: Hi Nour.
Nour: Could you please tell us a bit about the wealth and advice business here at Aviva?
Monique: Yeah, sure. So we have a large wealth business which includes our workplace pension business, our direct wealth division and our intermediated side which is the advice side. We also have an investment team who helped look after our customers funds ensure they're performing as well as they possibly can.
And then there's the subsidiaries. This is Wealthify, Succession Wealth, and Sesame Bankhall Group.
Nour: Wow, that's quite a lot. So why does that make us special?
Monique: Well, we're definitely special Nour and that's because we can support and serve our customers through their lifetime, from the first penny earned through to the first pound they save into retirement and beyond.
Nour: Wow. That's fantastic. Thanks, Monique.
Monique: Thanks Nour.
Nour: Next, let's go see some of our new grads.
Nour: Hi team, you're all new you to Aviva, so please could you tell us a bit about why you joined the Wealth and Advice graduate scheme and what stood out to you?
Neil: Sure. So for me it was the equal opportunities that Aviva offers. You don't need to be based in London to have a successful career in Wealth.
Bayleigh: Yeah and I think Aviva's values align very close to those of my own and my ideas are always taken very seriously.
Mesoo: For me, it's the community feel here at Aviva. It's so evident they really care about their customers, but their staff also take priority as well.
Daniel: And for me it was Aviva's commitment to sustainability. So they are market leader in targeting Net Zero by 2040 rather than the market average of 2050 and that was really important for me.
Nour: Brilliant, lots of great reasons. Thank you very much. Now let's go talk to Umar from our investment team.
Nour: Hi Umar.
Umar: Hi Nour.
Nour: Could you please explain to us how our products support our customers and how that's underpinned by the investment team?
Umar: Yeah, of course. So investments sit at the heart of all our products within the wealth business and they are the engine that drives our customer outcomes.
The investment team's purpose is essentially to create and offer the right investment solutions for all the customer bases that we serve.
Our ultimate aim is to improve our customers financial futures.
Nour: That's brilliant. Thank you.
Umar: No problem.
Nour: Now let's go see Neil, to see why you should join us.
Nour: Hi Neil.
Neil: Hi Nour.
Nour: What would you say to somebody considering a career in our wealth and advice business?
Neil: I would say if you're curious about money, and who isn't right, I would say get yourself looking at Aviva because we can help bring someone really not being that confident about money.
Give them that confidence. Take them from something as simple as an ISA investment through something more complex as trust and everything in between. And that's just what we do.
So if you're curious, get involved, have a look at our business and plus, we've got some amazing people. They help you build your career, they'll support your right through.
Nour: Sounds fantastic. So what can Wealth Academy do to support someone?
Neil: Ah, well that's really simple. We've built something that really engaging; takes that curiosity or wherever you are in your career and helps you move through to that next step and see what we offer as a business.
Nour: Sounds fantastic. Thank you very much Neil.
So there you have it. The Wealth and Advice business here at Aviva.
Will you come and ignite your career at our Wealth Academy? I hope so. See you soon.

I've always been interested in the tech industry but working full time in a customer facing role with no tech experience made this very difficult. Through the Foundry I spent two days a week building and practicing my technical skills.
The learning I acquired, allowed me to apply for and succeed in getting a role in IT as a Release Manager. I’m now in my new role (and loving it!), while finishing the rest of my digital learning.
