Appointed to the Group Executive Committee as Group Chief Operating Officer in March 2025.
Craig joined Aviva in 2021 as UK Chief Operating Officer for Insurance, Wealth & Retirement, where he led the transformation of customer service and operations including restructuring significant outsourcing and offshoring partnerships to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Experience and competencies
Craig has held multiple senior leadership positions, including Group Chief Executive Officer at Retirement Advantage. In this role, he led the company’s transformation, restructuring, and M&A activity, culminating in the successful sale of the business to Canada Life. Prior to this, he held senior roles at Halifax Bank of Scotland across Europe, working in both Retail Banking and Insurance.
Before Aviva, Craig served as Chief Operating Officer at Canada Life, overseeing the integration of an acquisition and the transformation of service operation.
Beyond his experience in the insurance industry, Craig also worked at Andersen Consulting, where he worked on large-scale change and transformation programmes in the Investment and Retail Banking sectors.
