Leah Ramoutar
Director of Environmental Sustainability
Leah is the Director of Environmental Sustainability, where she leads the Group’s Climate Centre of Excellence, overseeing delivery of Aviva’s net zero ambition and nature strategy.
Prior to joining Aviva, Leah was at Phoenix Group for 14 years, serving as the Head of Climate and Nature Risk in her last role. She led the development of Phoenix’s climate and nature strategy and led delivery of the Bank of England’s Climate Biennial Exploratory Scenario exercise for the group.
She also previously held roles at European Capital, focused on pan-European equity, mezzanine and senior debt investing; and at Rianta Capital, focused on venture capital investing within emerging markets.
Leah spent 5 years within the corporate finance and advisory practice of KPMG London, advising financial institutions and energy clients. She started her career in sustainable finance, supporting the SME sector in the Caribbean and South America.
Leah is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a graduate and Associate of King’s College, University of London.
She is also currently a Board Member of the UNEP FI Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI), co-chair of the GFANZ Nature in Net Zero Working Group and represents Aviva in the Forum for Insurance Transition to Net Zero.
