Norwich Union - the UK's largest insurer - has joined forces with My Money Adviser, an innovative technology company, to provide financial advisers with e-commerce solutions for transacting business online.

A joint scheme will be introduced to IFAs during a series of roadshows between 30th October and 29th November 2001. Hosted by Norwich Union and My Money Adviser, the regional roadshows will cover all aspects of setting up a financial adviser web presence.

With more and more people due to be online by next year, many advisers could miss out on potential business opportunities through their lack of website presence.

This Norwich Union / My Money Adviser alliance will provide IFAs with practical support and access to their own branded website, complete with e-commerce functionality. My Money Adviser is offering tailored sites to advisers for just Ł100 per month.

This relationship will provide added benefits and value to the service that Norwich Union already provides to IFAs, helping them to overcome the barriers and make the most of using the internet.

To register for a place on the roadshows, please contact your local Norwich Union consultant or see www.mymoneyadviser.com/roadshows, e-mail roadshow@mymoneyadviser.com

Ann-Marie Martyn, managing director of My Money Adviser said, "In such a fast paced environment, keeping abreast of developments is hard work. Advisers across the country tell us they want to get on the web, but don't know how to or are frightened of the investment required. "Norwich Union is already a big player with plenty of market knowledge and experience. And we understand the practical issues many advisers face, whilst removing much of the effort as we can from running their own sites and e-commerce. A perfect and very practical combination!" she adds.

Nigel Hopwood, head of eIFA development at Norwich Union said, "This is a unique partnership which demonstrates our continuing commitment to IFAs. This alliance offers a practical solution for IFAs who are perhaps aware of the benefits that e-commerce can bring but are unsure about how to proceed. With one in five web users visiting financial websites*, the roadshows have been designed specifically to help advisers create and develop their own online presence."
