Among the many education projects, CU Poland – jointly with the student organisation AIESEC – organised the "Invest in Yourself" Competition for students of schools of economics. The three main prizes consisted of three-months' internships (two in the United Kingdom and one in Germany). On two occasions, CU also supported the School of Young Leaders organised by an association founded by Zbigniew Pelczynski, Emeritus Professor of Political Science in the University of Oxford. During 2000-2002 CU funded 12 annual scholarships for secondary school pupils from northern Poland, where the decline of state farms has resulted in a particularly high level of unemployment.
