The Hibernian group today announced the appointment of Jackie Hunt as its new group finance director.
The Hibernian group today announced the appointment of Jackie Hunt as its new group finance director. Ms Hunt (36) takes over the role vacated by the appointment of Tony O’Riordan as managing director of Hibernian Life & Pensions.
Ms Hunt joins Hibernian from its parent company the Aviva group where she held the position of finance director for Aviva Corporate Office in London. She joined Aviva in 2003 from Royal and SunAlliance, where she was deputy director, capital management. Prior to this she spent four years at PricewaterhouseCoopers in a number of roles including director, global capital markets, and senior manager, business assurance services. She is of British nationality, but was educated in South Africa and is a graduate of the University of Witwatersrand.
Hibernian group chief executive, Bryan Jenkins, said: "I am delighted to announce Jackie’s appointment as group finance director. Jackie played an extremely important role in developing and delivering the Aviva group’s finance agenda over the last 18 months, we now look forward to working with her at Hibernian and wish her every success in her new role."
Jackie Hunt, said: "I am looking forward to my new role in Hibernian. My main focus will be on working with the company’s excellent management team to maintain the strong growth of the company, which is Ireland’s market leader for general insurance and top three for life and pensions."
Ms Hunt will join the Hibernian executive team next Monday 21 March.
