Aviva Life Insurance Company (Aviva) announces its partnership with South Shore Habitat for Humanity, which has helped 69 adults and 135 children build a place to call home. On Saturday 15 April 2006, volunteers from Aviva worked alongside a construction manager, Habitat staff and the deserving family for whom the two-story home is being built.

“Aviva is playing a critical role in the construction of this Brockton home,” said Colin Manuel of South Shore Habitat for Humanity. “It's a great example of Aviva's responsiveness to grassroots concerns in their communities.”

Aviva employees spent the day Saturday framing the second floor interior and roof gables of a Habitat home on Pine Street in Brockton, Mass. In addition to their time, Aviva made a US$1,500 donation to South Shore Habitat for Humanity to further assist its efforts.
