RAC Auto Windscreens has crossed the Channel to sign an agreement that will give its fleet customers repair and replacement services at over 2,000 outlets throughout Europe.

The company has linked up with others in France, Holland, Belgium, Spain and Germany to form the European Automotive Glass Replacement Alliance (EAVAA). The deal gives RAC Auto Windscreens’ 250 Fleet customers automotive glazing repair and replacement at over 720 centres and more than 1,500 mobile units across the continent.

Mark Hughes, RAC operations director, said :”We are delighted to be founder members of the alliance, which brings a much wider service proposition to RAC Auto Windscreens’ fleet customers. We already cover more of the UK than any other company, and many of our customers now need solutions for leasing deals in Europe. This important alliance will further strengthen our services to these customers, providing them with seamless coverage across a number of key European countries – with more to follow.”

The alliance is already looking in Switzerland, Italy and Austria for further partners. The move is expected to boost business this side of the Channel, as customers from other member countries visit the UK.
