Progress with promotion protection
Register with Commercial Union Direct by 1 April (by phone, text, or online at www.cudirect.pl/), and you will not lose your comprehensive or third party insurance discounts even if you have an accident between registering with CU Direct and the termination of your current insurance policy (purchasing the insurance with CU Direct). The offer is aimed at drivers who have not made a claim in at least three years and who receive a 50-60% no-claims discount on their third party and comprehensive insurance.

CU Direct has prepared a special competition targeted at women drivers, through which they will be able to discover the advantages of insuring a car through our direct system.

Information about the competition can be found in women's magazines (Viva, Przekrój, Mamo to ja, Party, Przyjaciółka and at www.polki.pl/). Just buy the insurance policy, come up with a short advertising slogan for our offer and you could win attractive prizes funded by our campaign partners. When buying insurance, customers who take part in the competition will receive a 10% discount.

The promotion will last until 30 June 2009. A dedicated phone line for the purposes of the competition is available on 0 801 28 28 00.

Lowest price guarantee
Online promotions aimed at drivers aged between 35 and 70 have been extended. CU Direct offers guaranteed lowest price third party and comprehensive insurance policies for experienced drivers who have made no claims on their third party and comprehensive insurance policies over the last three years and who are entitled to a no-claims reduction of up to 60% on their third party insurance. If a customer finds a better deal elsewhere, CU Direct will refund the difference.

Increasing discounts
Generally, on the car insurance market, for every year with no claims, customers receive a 10% discount on the next year's insurance.

In the new CU Direct system of discount calculation, discounts increase - you can receive up to a further 10% discount every year.

If a customer is not entitled to the discount (in the first year of insurance), they will receive a 10% discount for not having made any claims.

Settling claims need not be difficult
Winter and early spring are not the best seasons for drivers. Due to changing weather and shorter daylight hours, the risk of accidents increases. Many drivers wait until the end of winter to make insurance claims. Not only because of the lack of time, but also because of the inconvenience of dealing with the problem, alerting the insurance company and looking for a garage.

Commercial Union Direct carried out a survey to check customers' satisfaction with the process for settling insurance claims. Thanks to the CU Direct principle - "we take care of everything" - our customers are satisfied with the process for settling insurance claims. They value the simplicity of making claims and the procedure for repairing vehicles in a network of services approved by CU Direct. In the customer satisfaction survey carried out by Research International Pentor, both the manner of settling claims and the speed of the process proved popular and were awarded 9.5 and 9.6 points respectively on the 10-point scale.

Main benefits of the CU Direct offer 
CU Direct insurance offered from December 2007 includes the following: third party insurance, comprehensive vehicle insurance, breakdown assistance, accident insurance, windscreen insurance and legal protection insurance. The package has a range of modules - the customer selects the level of protection that best suits his or her needs. From the viewpoint of customers, the most important characteristics of this package are:

  • the possibility of insuring the discounts you currently have or which you have earned (up to two claims over three years)
  • a two-year guarantee on work carried out at participating garages
  • the opportunity to transfer your no-claims bonus on your third-party liability insurance to your comprehensive motor insurance
  • compensation which allows you to purchase a new vehicle in an authorised network of dealerships in the event of the loss of a car less than 12 months old
  • the amount of insurance is not reduced by the amount of compensation paid
  • a replacement car for the period of time when your car is being repaired, provided that these repairs are carried out in participating garages
  • a wider range of situations in which the insurer will provide towing services for the damaged vehicle and a replacement car as part of the breakdown assistance insurance (eg a replacement car outside Poland)
