Aviva Investors appoints Ian Berry to manage infrastructure and renewable energy investments

Aviva Investors announced today it has strengthened its fund management capability, with the appointment of Ian Berry as fund manager – infrastructure and renewable energy.

Aviva Investors announced today it has strengthened its fund management capability, with the appointment of Ian Berry as fund manager – infrastructure and renewable energy. 

Ian, to be based in London, will report to Ben Stirling, managing director of continental European real estate, and in his role will oversee the development of Aviva Investors infrastructure capability as well as be fund manager of the Aviva Investors European Renewable Energy Fund. Ian will also be involved in the management of Aviva Investors’ existing infrastructure and PFI/PPP investments. 

Ian joins Aviva Investors from BlueCrest Capital Management, where he has been an investment director since January 2007 and responsible for identifying infrastructure-related investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector. Ian has over 10 years experience in infrastructure finance, both equity and debt-related, having started his career at Deutsche Bank in 1997 in the Project Finance team. He has also worked at Ambac Assurance UK. 

Commenting on the appointment, Ben Stirling, said: “Ian is an experienced fund manager who has proven his investment credentials in the renewables and infrastructure sectors and I am delighted with his appointment.
