As part of our commitment to support the low carbon economy and to invest in sustainable and responsible investments Aviva Investors have today announced a £100million investment in residential solar portfolios.
Aviva Investors Return Enhancing and Liability Matching (REaLM) infrastructure Fund has acquired a 23MW portfolio of residential photovoltaic (PV) systems, across 7,000 homes, from HomeSun Holdings Ltd.
This is the largest deal of its kind and a first for Aviva Investors. Ian Berry, the fund manager at Aviva Investors responsible for the deal said “This strategic investment in UK renewables is one of many we have planned for our REaLM Infrastructure fund and it aligns to our strategy of investing in high quality renewable energy assets".
