  • 0% platform charge for the life of the Junior ISA
  • Fully platform-integrated
  • Available to new and existing customers
  • Further enhances intergenerational planning toolkit and tax efficient solutions

Aviva has announced the pricing for the forthcoming launch of its Junior ISA (JISA) portfolio.

In recognition of the importance of maximising tax efficient solutions for clients and helping younger investors get started, Aviva will launch the new fully integrated JISA later this summer. And, in a boost for new investors, this comes with a 0% platform fee, to help encourage a new generation of investors and enable them to maximise their earlier life investing opportunities.

There are no restrictions to this product and no other requirements to obtaining the 0% platform fee. It is available to all clients who use the services and benefits of advice firms.

The JISA can also be used alongside multi-asset funds, for those looking for this type of solution. Combining JISA with some very competitively priced multi-asset funds available on Aviva’s platform mean that fees could be as low as 0.15%.

JISA’s inclusion in Aviva’s product portfolio enhances its intergenerational financial planning capability, and enables advisers to provide advice to their clients on a multi-generational basis.

Clients will be able to invest up to £9,000 in JISA, as well as continuing to invest in ISAs in their own name, up to the individual ISA limit. This represents more scope to maximise tax efficient savings every year.

Al Ward, Head of Aviva’s Adviser Platform said, “This is a significant milestone for us and advisers who use our platform. Advisers have been telling us for some time that JISA was a big miss on the Aviva platform, and we believe that in some cases, this was the only barrier preventing advisers from using our platform. We have been working behind the scenes for some time to be able to bring this to market, and we are delighted to be able to announce our plans today, and especially the 0% platform fee. We really hope this will encourage good savings habits from a young age in the next generation. The inclusion of JISA in the Aviva portfolio gives the opportunity for greater tax efficiency for clients, and the ability to source intergenerational solutions, which will stand clients and advisers alike in good stead moving forward.”

This follows on from other platform improvements already delivered this year, including a new cash management capability, the launch of its client and asset transition service, and Aviva’s partnership with FSL for tax reporting.

Al Ward concludes : “We are working through a programme of platform enhancements and are pleased with progress so far this year, which clearly demonstrates Aviva’s ability to deliver. We continue to work with advisers to identify the key platform capabilities which they require and which we can deliver through technology.”
