We’re proud to announce that Danny Harmer, Chief People Officer, Suzie Nolan, Head of Property at Aviva Ireland and Anna Dilku, Senior Creative Content Manager, have been recognised in this year’s HERoes Role Model Lists.
Suzie and Anna have been named Future Leaders, while Danny has been included on the Women Executives list, marking her sixth consecutive year of recognition.
The global HERoes Women Role Model Lists celebrate leaders across various industries who champion gender diversity in the workplace and drive meaningful change. Those on the HERoes Role Model Lists have achieved success in their own careers whilst driving for more inclusive workplaces.
Suzie Dolan, Head of Property at Aviva Ireland
Suzie established the Balance Committee in Aviva Ireland four years ago and remains an active committee member, driving many initiatives within the Company. She is actively involved in the Irish chapter of the 30% Club, including being Chair of the Financial Services Group, and regularly participates in industry events discussing diversity. Suzie also speaks at Next Gen events to encourage those in school and college to remove gender stereotypes when considering college courses and careers.
Anna Dilku, Senior Creative Content Manager
Anna Dilku has been a leading voice in diversity and inclusion throughout her 19 years at Aviva. As the first elected co-chair of Aviva Balance, Aviva’s employee resource group focused on gender parity, she cultivated a culture of inclusivity within the organisation. She used her experience leading Aviva Balance to promote intersectionality in Aviva Origins, Aviva’s employee resource group focused on embracing cultural diversity, which subsequently won Inclusive Companies’ Outstanding Employee Network Award.
Danny Harmer, Chief People Officer
Danny is a Co-Executive Sponsor of our Pride Community, co-chair of the One Aviva Inclusion Council, and Co-Executive Sponsor of our Domestic Abuse Working Group, which launched training in 2020 to support both customers and colleagues.
In addition to leading the People function at Aviva and her wider leadership roles, Danny personally champions the female agenda in many ways, leading the debate on issues such as the long-term impact of hybrid working on women, the gender pay gap, the menopause and caregiving, and is also a mentor to numerous women.
Danny Harmer, Chief People Officer at Aviva, said: “I’m delighted to see Suzie and Anna recognised for the significant contribution they make to inclusion at Aviva and more widely across the industry. It’s fantastic to be listed alongside them and so many other outstanding women and advocates.”
This follows the inclusion of four of our Aviva colleagues on this year’s INvolve Empower Role Model Lists, which showcases leaders who are making outstanding contributions to drive inclusion for others in the workplace. Waseem Malik, Chief Claims Officer and Michael Yabantu, MD of Mid-Market Commercial Lines, were both featured on the Executives list, while Anna Dilku and Maiko Adachi, Senior Counsel, were named on the Future Leaders list.
